Wood Grainer Tool
Graining is a removal technique and the Wood Grainer tool is used to remove areas of freshly applied paint to create the illusion of real woodgrain on the painted surface.
Can be used on flat surfaces such as mdf, plaster walls or furniture.
The Wood Graining Tool has 3 graining surfaces:
- The curved face of the tool is used for heart grain effects
- The notches edge is for quarter sawn effects
- The fine comb edge is best for vein effects.
Directions: Maintain even pressure whilst pulling the tool through the paint or stain. Rocking the grainer back and forth is also a useful technique to create the random effect.
